One thing he is absolutely fucking incompetent at is knowing the difference between your ego and your brand. I’ve been in branding for a long time. It’s one of those weird unspoken rules everyone knows – that while the owners of those brands may be awful human beings with terrible egos, people will generally look the other way when it comes to buying the product or brand itself (hate Jeff, love Amazon etc). Either way, it’s an invisible line in the social contract. When you cross that line – say by doing a Nazi salute in front of the entire world – the brand reputation simply collapses. I said it at the time; Tesla will *never* survive this unless Musk goes, or they rebadge.

The amount of pump and dump fraud he has perpetrated but given a free pass all these years bc he was making electric cars, also should get attention. He knew clear as day that fully autonomous FSD was no where near completion yet any time TSLA price started declining he would do his PR tours and claim it’s a year away. And this was before he showed everyone a front row seat to his Nazi psychopath behavior, but it’s been boiling over for years. Those closest to him knew how much of a psycho he was, and those who refused to be bought out and shut down, told their stories. Needless to say, Elon acting this way should be a surprise to anyone .
