This is by far the worst rating I have seen in the world. Armenia being rated at 34 after Avinyan had attempted to suppress Civil net at his corruption allegation is a very very bad sign that the global media is largely controlled narratively by authoritarian states as well as corrupt oligarchs.

Be very weary with the what you read and what you follow.

Georgia slipped because of that foreign agent law I presume?

Overall, democracy and freedoms have been steadily declining in the entire world in the past 10-15 years. On the one hand I’m happy of course that Armenia is progressing and is often colored the same way as Europe on these maps. On the other hand, being a lone island in the region is no fun at all, it means our own freedoms are more fragile than we think.

Very, very tough times for us especially in the light of what’s going on in the US right now.
