I wore an almost identical dress to my friend’s wedding at the Standesamt I think it’s lovely and suitable

Sure, why not? It’s neither white, red or looking like softporn, so you’re good.

The dress code may depend a bit on the couple, because some want certain colors of clothing, but this kind of freaky wedding is much less common in Germany than in other countries. Weddings tend to be more casual in Germany, I believe.
This dress would probably fit well in most weddings.

Definitely! That’s stunning, wheres it from?

I have the same dress. Zero? It’s a lot greener than in the photo right?
It’s great for a summer wedding but I’d add a shawl and a long coat at this time of year since the material is very thin.

Of course! It’s a beautiful dress. The secret is the cut here. The ever so slight waistline. You look gorgeous in it. At the same time it is a conservative choice. One’s own dress should never compete with the bride’s. And this dress doesn’t.

Unless there’s a specific dress code, sure!

If you don’t particulary like the bride and groom.
But in any case ask if there is a dress code beforehand

It’s a very pretty summer dress. so if there isn’t a more formal dress code, I think you are fine.

Ask them, not us.
Personally, I couldn’t care less about our guests‘ attires as long as they felt comfortable, but that’s neither here nor there.

Depends. Are you the one getting married?

It’s beautiful, but it depends. For which part of the wedding? What does the invitation say about the dress code? Do you have a specific role (e.g. as a bridesmaid) or are you a close friend or family member?

It looks pretty dark.

It looks pretty dark, perfect for a goth wedding 👍

Do you have any more options? Maybe lighter summer-ish version?

Unless there is a specific dress code communicated imo should be ok and looks great. It always helps to ask some local that is also going if there’s anything dress code or otherwise to be aware about. I did Indian wedding a few months ago and we took time to ask questions from some other friends that went 🙂 was quite chill luckily.

Oh God. Black on a wedding. You should ask the couple, and respect their decision. I don’t know for example if the bride has any roots in latin america or is superstitious. Wearing black to a wedding in Brazil and for a lot of latinos is like going to a funeral/wishing the couple bad luck.

Yes, if you feel like it, cute! You should wear something YOU like and feel fancy in, not what other people might like. But I would take off the Sportwatch since this is not fitting your beautiful dress. Enjoy the wedding!

put a beige/ red/ orange ( some of the colors from the dress) scarf and you’ll be good.

No way, you’re not going to the beach.
No floral patterns on a wedding!

As a guest you can wear whatever you want (with style)

To me it looks fine, a friend of mine wore a similar dress and it was ok. But to be honest, ask the bride/groom for a dress code or someone who’s also invited/involved and check with them

Omg whether it is German or Chinese. You don’t show up with that to a wedding .
