    1. The project started when Ford invited student designers from around the world to reimagine the Mustang. A total of 25 students from 22 schools in countries like China and Germany participated in the design competition, called “Mustang: A Grand Tour of Re-imagination.” Each student created their own vision of what the future Mustang could look like. After the first round of judging, eight finalists were chosen to continue developing their ideas. These students received hands-on mentorship at Ford’s Shanghai design center, where they worked closely with professional designers and used virtual reality tools to turn their sketches into detailed 3D models.
