      Mike Johnson isn’t American. A real American would want to know for sure if the President is doing illegal things or not, and if so what they are. He’s barely a step above a traitor in my book.

      Mike Johnson is complicit and, in some ways, worse than the cabinet. The cabinet works for trump, but congress is in full abdication mode.

      Not surprising. What is going to make it bad is some on the left will then use this to blast Democrats for ‚doing nothing‘ when Johnson is using every lever, button and weapon he has to stop them. Don’t get me wrong, Schumer can take his ’sternly worded letter with hard questions‘ and fly off to la la land. But people have also got to realize that there isn’t a huge amount the Democrats can do right now, not having control anywhere. I recently had an interaction on Threads where someone was blasting congressional Democrats for ’not stopping Trump’s EO’s‘

      I asked them what they were supposed to do… and Johnson won’t let anything come to a vote, and even if it did it would die in committee since Republicans control the House. The response was „Excuses… stop him watch people not vote in 2026!!“

      Which of course… just means more of the same.

      If he gets it passed, Democrats should loudly point out the Republican (moderates) that helped past the rules changes. Then Democrats should meticulously document every Trump crime, retake the House and then investigate Trump’s alleged crimes and impeach him if evidence demand that.

      We will find out just how much control the MAGA cult has next year.

      Every party has lost seats in congress 2 years after winning the presidency. I’m pretty sure this has been consistent since the end of the big Dub Dub Dos.

      If it doesn’t happen next year it means elections have been completely compromised.

      If it *does* happen it means the MAGA/P2025 takeover is not going to plan.

      They“re blocking it now so they have time to delete all their signal chats and suddenly it’s 100x harder to investigate in two years time when the Dems hopefully have Congress.
