      America has a short period in which to save itself. This won’t be pretty. I was hoping empty Walmart shelves would do it, but now reports are that Walmart has told the Chinese cargo ship to proceed. Trump may have given Walmart an informal exemption out of fear.

      What really worries me is that if Trump hadn’t imposed any tariffs, his approval rating would probably be net positive right now. So many people wouldn’t see past all the bluster and attitude at the underlying outrageous incompetence and horrific cruelty.

      What’s frustrating is that Americans grade democrats even harsher. Trump’s approval rating maybe slightly above 40%, but in those same polls where they survey both the democrats‘ approval rating is less than 30%. It’s obvious whoever the 2028 dem nominee is going to have to run on left wing economic populism in order to gain that trust in Dems back, because people are only turning on Trump because of the tariffs and economic instability affecting them personally. His mass deportations to salvador and defending government agencies still has a high approval when polled.

      A polling group of 1,400 isn’t representative. 48% „F“ is not a resounding majority…it’s basically the same percentage as registered Democrats. Surprise surprise Newsweek trying to mis represent their data to tarnish Trump. What a rag
