Angenommen, jemand ist nicht interessiert/talentiert im People Management, was ist die harte Gehaltsobergrenze, wenn er immer auf der IC -Strecke bleiben und diese Leiter besteigen möchte? Senion, Mitarbeiter, Leiter, Architekten usw., aber keine Berichte haben.
Haben Sie das schon lange hier und haben das erlebt? Wie unterschiedlich ist die Praxis von diesen amerikanischen Unternehmen, da die meisten Informationen, die ich online finden konnte, über sie ging? Hat jemand diese Entscheidung getroffen, und wenn ja, was waren die Gründe, wenn ich fragen darf?
Auch hier denke ich nicht über amerikanische Unternehmen nach, da ich wahrscheinlich nie in einem arbeiten werde.

I know people earning 170-200k as an IC. Depends which sector, city, etc
I know big banks and insurance companies offering up to 190k base in Zurich, however the people making this money are a few. I would say most mid senior ICs are around 140k-150k. FAANG is offering way more than this.
I was Senior engineer for many years. My top as IC was a bit less than 200K in Zurich. Now I moved to a Faang and it’s more.
If we focus on realistic companies (no Faang) I believe between 120K to 180K including some sort of bonus. Above 180K you must be really senior and have some basic leadership skills. Above 200K is really really hard.

There isn’t really a limit, the right skills at the right company could be 500k+ but you won’t see job listings for these.
Pushing over 200k for local companies that you can easily apply for will be tough. For staff/principle roles maybe 250k as a „reasonable“ number for an average person to attain.
