Check out your parking job. It’s hideous. Most likely someone had trouble getting in their car and got angry.

Not sure it’s „vandalism“ if it comes off in a wash that was needed anyways. But still, adult people don’t touch others‘ cars. And I have to symphatize with them if you clearly parked over the line, reversing back and adjusting is easy if you don’t hit the space at first.

Just to add, been driving for 25 years and in 7 countries. Yes, this was bad parking and as I said, I didn’t saw the line and would have apologised if asked. It’s the reaction I am surprised off. I see people using my parking or parking over the line to my side or parking in front of my house but it’s always leave a note and sort it out civil way like adults and if repeated, calling authorities. But this is a crime here.
I mean the car was there already, I’m pretty sure you noticed you were leaving too little space for them to get in. I don’t condone this but kind of understand why someone would do this + a good reason to keep the car clean
How do you parks like this and say, yeah that’s good, no need to correct it. Take a buss next time.

Your car is over the line and the guy next to you had probably trouble getting back in. May have had to use the opposite door to climb into the driver’s seat.

Doesn’t justify what they did, but this parking job is bad and sloppy. Should’ve straightened out your car to fit better in the slot, no matter what.
You should try parking your car between lines.
I would get mad too if someone parked next to my car over the line. In the worst case, they would scratch my car when they got out of their car. I once lost my temper in a parking lot when another car pulled into the same family square and the driver in question shoved her ass into the side of my car. However, I wouldn’t have done anything to the other car. Fortunately, your car hasn’t suffered any damage other than minor scratches. If you wash your car by hand and your car is completely scratch-free, you can report the scratches to your full insurance company, who will take care of the matter. Unless you remember the license plate number of the person who caused the scratches. If your car already has scratches from machine washing or improper washing, you can’t claim any compensation. It goes as a so-called lesson. Next time, park in an emptier area or watch how you park.
