> The EO’s main target is the principle of disparate-impact liability, the idea that racism, sexism, or some other form of discrimination can occur without explicit intent.
Or more realistically, without the plaintiff *proving* explicit intent. Because unless your employer/lender/landlord/etc is stupid enough to put „we are rejecting you because you’re a woman“ in writing, that’s extremely hard to prove. More often it’s like „they turned me down and wouldn’t say why and then I noticed there were no other women in the building.“
(This sounds extreme but I work in workplace safety and I have been to some businesses where there were 30 men and 1 woman and she’s the receptionist. I don’t think there’s much I can do because as a man who doesn’t directly work for them, I don’t exactly have standing. But this is a thing that still happens and it wasn’t some kind of macho heavy lifting job either.)

Prior to the Cable Act(1922) women who married non-Americans automatically lost their citizenship, I have been wondering when(probably not *if*) they will try to repeal that, especially given cases like Kilmar’s, with his American wife.

>“But I’ve got over two thousand dollars in the bank“, I said, as if my own account was the only one that mattered. „Women can’t hold property any more“, she said. „It’s a new law. Turned on the TV today?“
>“No“, I said.
>“It’s on there“, she said. „All over the place“
>She was not stunned, the way I was. In some strange way she was gleeful, as if this was what she’d been expecting for some time and now she’d been proven right. She even looked more energetic, more determined. „Luke can use your Compucount“ for you, she said. „They’ll transfer your number to him, or that’s what they say. Husband or male next of kin.“
„But what about you?“ I said.
She didn’t have anyone.
„I’ll go underground“, she said. „Some of the gays can take over our numbers and buy us things we need“.
„But why?“ I said. „Why did they?“

who’s winning with all this BS? How is 1/3 of the country or less holding the rest of us hostage? Big business, congress, the courts, the lawyers, the education system, the people, our allies, everyone is losing. Fuck this guy, toss him out already. Are we letting the 5 wealthiest people on the planet and some unqualified sycophants rule us? Maybe 2 of his nominations should have been confirmed, out of the whole lot. Will continue to repeat that these EO’s were *prepared ahead of time* by the Heritage Foundation. Trump is a glorified rubber stamper. There are many more to come.
The real people behind this have planned meticulously for it for years and have worked behind the scenes to bring project 2025 Into the horrifying reality we’re living now.
Russell Vought spoke proudly of it in a hidden camera interview he was duped into doing before the election and then the media just kind of quietly forgot about it.
One of his aides also apparently told the reporter that these would be communicated through non-government channels to avoid FOIA.
I feel Australia or New Zealand would riot if they reached where the USA is.
