Also kam ich gestern mit meinem Auto in Monte Brè an, die Parkplätze waren alle besetzt, aber die Räume für die Ladung von Emotion waren frei. Da ich immer Emotionen benutze, parkte ich dort und schnappte mich das Kabel, um mein Auto zu laden, aber die Station war defekt.
Dann stellte sich in meinem Kopf eine Frage und es ist heute noch hier: Was ist in dieser Situation akzeptabel?
Ich meine, ich würde aufladen und das dort geparkte Auto gelassen, aber das Terminal funktionierte nicht. Sollte ich:
- einfach das Auto entfernen und woanders suchen?
- Das Auto ließ dort geparkt, aber ich muss als normaler Ort im Parkzähler bezahlen?
- Das Auto dort geparkt gelassen und nicht bezahlen?
Ich möchte es wirklich wissen, um Zweifel in anderen Situationen wie diese zu vermeiden.
PS: Auf meinem City Comunal Parking müssen wir nur von Montag bis Samstag, nicht sonntags und in den Ferien, bezahlen. Ich nehme an, diese Regel gilt nicht für jeden Parkplatz entweder auf einem Parkzähler, oder?

The sensible thing to do (in my opinion) would be to call the charging provider and ask them whether they can either fix it or tell you whether you can park there as they can’t fix it anyway.
Parking is usually free on Sundays and public holidays, but EV charging spots may have their own rules, which can apply every day, including weekends. These spots are typically for active charging only, so if the terminal isn’t working, it’s best to move the car.
You always have to check the parking meter what applies. In some tourist spots it might even be that you have to pay only on weekends!
Every parking lot will have its own rules. Communal parking spots have theirs, privately owned/operated facilities too. There’s no general rule.
With that being said, this is not a parking spot. If you’re not charging you shouldn’t be using that spot. So ideally you look for another spot. I guess you could place a note saying the charger is out of order and pay for the parking like everyone else, and honestly I doubt anybody will mind but you never know which Buenzli in uniform you’ll encounter next… But you do run the risk of the charger company sending a repair crew and then you’re effectively blocking a working charging spot !
