Germany is modernizing its military by procuring large quantities of loitering munitions (Suicide drones), with key contributions from Israeli firms.
UVision, partnering with Rheinmetall, will supply its Hero drone series, while Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is collaborating with MBDA to deliver the Harop drone.
These advanced systems, capable of precision strikes and swarm attacks, mark a strategic shift for the German Army and strengthen Israel’s position as a global leader in loitering munitions.
>The Harop is effective up to a range of 200 kilometers and can fly for nine hours and reach a speed of 225 knots at an altitude of up to 15,000 feet. It carries about 16 kilograms of explosives, is very accurate and is capable of attacking at a vertical or horizontal angle. Based on it, Iran developed the Shahed 136 imitation, against which Israel has been defending itself since the start of the war.
