Now, it’s been reported that Hegseth shared similar information in a second Signal chat, this time with his wife and brother present in said chat. 

      >His response to this second national security bombshell has been to insist that it’s simply a politically motivated smear campaign rather than yet another massive faux pas. 

      >“Your agenda is illegals, trans & DEI — all of which are no longer allowed @ DoD,” Hegseth wrote late Sunday night in response to the Democratic Party’s X account saying he “needs to go.”

      No patriot, no person with any respect at all for the US, would tolerate him remaining as SecDef.

      Using Signal should not be the headline.

      The 1st chat they used Signal and turned on the automatic deletion service and low and behold the COA could not retrieve the directors chats. That is illegal even if nothing else is.

      In the military, especially in leadership roles, you are taught about responsibility and accountability. This guy is blaming everyone but himself for his errors. Hegseth must have been an absolutely worthless officer when he was in the service – nobody would want to serve with a guy with such low personal honour.

      He’s alleging these are malicious lies being published which would be legally actionable as libel.

      Truth is, he has no case because the reporting is independently verifiable. All he can do is get in front of a camera and repeat the „fake news“ song and dance for MAGA.

      As a vet and gov employee, the fact that an official Defense Department spokesperson actually said, “The Trump-hating media” bothers me more than the signal thing. Public service isn’t presidential service.

      It’s almost like if you elect a narcissistic con man to be your leader, it will result in a gross perversion of the meaning of civic duty. If only we had known, he was a con man and a criminal before he ran. Oh wait…….
