    1. Just like last time. Careening from one manufactured crisis to the next. The administration is like a Rube Goldberg machine of racist dipshits.

Yes, old people with cognitive decline are usually angry and will start a fight with anyone but it’s never their fault.

    3. You’re all looking at this the wrong way. You see: morality is defined solely by identity, not actions. We can never be wrong because of who we are, so even if we directly caused this it must somehow be the fault of someone who isn’t us.

“It remains unclear to us exactly what, among the government’s recent words and deeds, were mistakes or what the government actually meant to do and say,”

Perfectly sums up the stupidity that this administration unleashed to almost every aspect of our society

    5. Admitting a mistake would make it look like there was still some brain left in that pumpkin. Can’t have that.

Too bad more people don’t stand up to Trump. If everyone just told him to f*ck off when he demanded they do something, he would have ZERO power. And never would have gotten to where he is.

He rose to power because he had money, and people wanted to be around him and work for him because they thought they would be rich by association. But of course Trump never gave them anything but heart ache and most of them crawled away penniless and professionally damaged after associating themselves with him (Giuliani, My Pillow Guy, Michael Cohen etc.)

Because of course the dementia ridden sociopathic Orange Felon blames someone else.

    8. > Despite now saying that the letter was sent in error—whether that means because it was sent at all, or even if it was simply sent prematurely—the Trump administration has not withdrawn its demands or reversed its decision to freeze $2.2 billion in grants to the school. Nor has the president backed off his threats to revoke the school’s tax-exempt status.

So after accidentally sending Harvard *the wrong list of demands*, Crazy Donald’s goons decide to *keep demanding that list* because their cult leader is a manbaby who’s incapable of admitting his mistakes.

Fired the people responsible for maintaining nuclear weapons. It was a mistake

FDA reviewers fired. It was a mistake

Cut Ebola funding. It was a mistake

Fired scientists looking into bird flu. It was a mistake.

Invited a journalist to a chat about military attack plans. It was a mistake.

Had said discussion on an unsecured app. It was a mistake.

Deported Abrego Garcia. It was a mistake.

Now picked a fight with Harvard and it was a mistake.

I can’t remember a less competent Presidency, especially a 2nd term Presidency in history.

Ronald Reagan and Woodrow Wilson werent this bad, its likely neither of them was legally competent during part of their second term

    10. „Sent by mistake“ is just a timing issue.
It was not written and signed by mistake.
      The intent is exposed.

Or maybe the letter was just being “sarcastic.” You know, like Trump’s statements about ending the RUS/UKR war in “one day” or lowering the price of eggs.

    12. Bullshit.

      They overplayed their hand.

And if it were a mistake, even worse. It shows the world that the government of the United States is a completely inept clown show.

      Thanks MAGA.

    13. „IT’S A JOKE“, „IT WAS MY COUSIN“, „IT’S A MISTAKE“ are famous internet excuses of racists and bullies. It wasn’t a mistake, it was an aggressive tactic used on a bunch of schools. They said DEI is terrible and you can’t have equity or inclusion but hire and allow more right wing people into your school.

? Trump administration reducing regulation by demanding more regulation.

They did not make a mistake… they failed and are saying „I didn’t mean it“.

    15. it wasn’t a mistake. they’re calling it a mistake now, after Harvard said „bring it.“

    16. Oh fucking please it wasn’t a “mistake”

They picked a fight with Harvard and probably got a lot of angry calls from their wealthy donors who are Harvard alumns and saw Harvard getting ready to legally tear the administration a new asshole and needed to find a way to take back their letter…

    17. Every Harvard grad should take this a personal insult and do everything in their effort to wreck this president.

    18. Imtired1245 on

This is a common theme with this administration. Making constant mistakes, not owning up to them, and also doubling down when called on it.

The most incompetent administration I think I’ve ever seen in my life.

    19. They can’t ever be wrong….thin skinned they are. Or snowflake as they say.

Nobody makes mistakes like I do. The biggest, most beautiful mistakes ever made. Many people are saying this.

    21. The Narcissist’s Prayer

      That didn’t happen.

And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.

And if it was, that’s not a big deal.

And if it is, that’s not my fault.

And if it was, I didn’t mean it.

And if I did, you deserved it.

I encourage Harvard to remain true to the inscription on that sigil in the thumbnail picture

A model for the rest of the world. Trump says do what he wants or else, you say no, he says just kidding.
