Near future, antibiotic resistance is routine. Some hospitals are now facing infections that don’t respond to any known drugs. Why aren’t new antibiotics being developed? What role does agriculture play? And what can we do now—as clinicians and as patients—to slow the trend?

    2. i don’t get this, this seems to be only in the western medicin that relies heavily on antibiotics.

if you have a disease which is antibiotic resistant, go to the balkans/middle east. They have perfected the use of bacteriophages as a resort against resistant strains of bacteria.

This is not something new, they have been doing this for 15 years or more. I don’t get why western medicin can’t catch up and why they have been calling out warning signs for resistant bacteriastrains.
Goddamn annoying is what it is.
