it’d be awesome if they were able to bring such a small and delicate piece back intact, and it’d be so cool to get to see vanguard 1 in person
I always wondered whether someday there would be something like space archeology, where people of the future could understand our world by retrieving and studying satellites made by (our) older civilization. How many satellites are in the [GEO graveyard orbit.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graveyard_orbit) available for study to those interested and capable of getting there?
