    1. The bolshevik’s near total destruction of the Georgian churches is pretty interesting, considering Armenia’s got off comparably unscathed. Borh suffered immensely, but Georgia lost so much more

      Idk about Armenia but Bolsheviks were very much focused on destroying the fabric of Georgian society. The regions and villages that were thought to be resistant to cultural change were targeted especially harshly. A lot of Svan villages for example. There was a story I heard idk how true it is, apparently Stalin got caught by a bunch of svans during his bandit days and they beat the crap out of him, so when he came to power he destroyed a lot of Svan villages and resettled the locals.
