After decades of neglect and following high tensions since October 7, and a problem of weapon smuggling from Jordan to the West Bank, Israel is set to quickly build a new border barrier between it and Jordan.
„New“ is a bit misleading. This is just an overdue update to an aging fence.
Hope they get some different barriers than the “barriers” Hamas broke through on 10/7.
That funny, Israel keeps putting a border fence where they don’t have border? Should somebody tell them?
The West Bank looks misused in this aspect. You either remove the border on one or the other side. Of course it’s impossible with the huge amount of terrorists there. But in the future PA will want one or the other as right now the area can’t produce much at all. Of course they don’t even allow Israelis in their own areas so they cut their own tourism down to nothing alongside Israel carefully controlling all movement in the region.
