Hollywood started out by ignoring every existing patent about film projection, because the US back then said those patents should not apply to them. So this would complete the circle.
Besides, the moral high ground went to piracy the second the US decided that it was OK for AI businesses to download every kind of copyrighted material for free. I’m also in the startup phase for my own AI business, so I can also download anything I like for free!
In Belgium it’s not but some countries have actually harsh laws against direct download and torrenting and in some cases they are enforced
