I’ve been waiting for an update. Very glad to get one with thorough background info. It’s interesting to see the details of Ted Cruz’s possible aversion to Isaacman’s nomination and encouraging to see how they won’t amount to enough for Cruz to stand in the way. The letters from the governors are especially encouraging. The one signed by multiple astronauts is good but a politician cares who other politicians support.

      >A group of more than two dozen former astronauts from across the political spectrum also recently shared a letter sent to Cruz in support of Isaacman.

I’m wondering how much of that is really their opinion and how much is fear of a CEO publicly insulting astronauts for having an opinion different from his, whose company now holds the monopoly on manned spaceflight in the US?

Cruz is concerned Isaacman has contributed to Democrats in the past. Really focusing on job qualifications.

    4. Elon Musk would not have picked Isaacman if Isaacman was not completely onboard with whatever crazy plans the Trump administration has for NASA. I don’t expect anything good from him.

How many of the two dozen former astros either want a job or work in an industry that would like to suck up to the eventual Administrator.
