Oh boy. Authorities won’t be your problem. The anti-5g people are. Good luck explain them what this is.

Do you plan to plug it into mains? If so, yes, you need approval. If you want to run your stuff of the grid (no interconnection), e.g., run a water pump or standalone A/C, so no.
But fire department may have a word about it, but EAC is not responsible for non-grid connected stuff.
E.g. if you connect a phone into a powerbank, it’s not EAC controlled.

You probably need to check the pattern of wind speed your property gets throughout the year before getting one of this. In cyprus its better to get solar panels because sunny days are guaranteed

aren’t they bad compared to a photovoltaic system? i mean they generate far less?

Even if you get a permit to install one of these on your roof, which I dont think you will because of height, environmental and structural reasons, the vibrations will most likely be significant and you’ll end up switching it off to make them stop.

you need to deal with the lame excuse of regulatory authority

You need a Building Permit from EOA. I am sure you will not receive it to install on the roof.
