Bitte hilf mir

This is a box for cable TV, which in many cases can also be used to get an internet connection. Usually through Vodafone.
TAE looks like this: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telekommunikations-Anschluss-Einheit#/media/Datei%3AErste_tae_modelle.jpg
In modern apartments it sometimes is located in the breaker box.
This is not for DSL,not a TAE Socket (telefone) this is one for cable TV ( which is also an Option for internet)
The TAE socket looks very different. [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telekommunikations-Anschluss-Einheit](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telekommunikations-Anschluss-Einheit)
if you really can not find such a socket, your cannot get DSL Internet only over cable. I have never seen an appartment without one though, so it is strange.
Maybe talk to your Vermietung or your Hausmeister about the missing TAE socket.
Internet via Cable is as i said the other option, but keep in mind that you need a contract for the cable socket and one for internet.
I pay 12 eur per month for the socket + 6 for the internet contract.
Some sockets have a connector on the bottom, but the one in the picture is not a TAE socket to begin with. It looks like a multimedia socket, where you’d connect your TV to as well.
I heard it’s possible to get an Internet connection over a coaxial cable connected to this socket. I believe you’d connect one end of the cable to one of the two ports on the top, and the other end to the „cable“ Port of your IAD/Router (I’m not sure if every router has one of these though, so you might have to buy a specific one).
