It’s really taken off in the US over the last few years. I can’t remember seeing anything Moomin in the US at all pre-COVID but now Barnes and Noble is really marketing them.
Having a store inside a library is the more baffling part
A Japanese store near my work offers Moomin stuff. Nice to see them locally. Moomins weren’t popular when I was growing up but a colleague in Mexico knows a lot about the characters and stories. He was thrilled visiting Finland to see and buy some merchandise. (Edited for spelling.)
That is a Barnes and Nobles! Chain book store. We had a little Moomin display pop up in the one we shop at. I was excited bc I had lost all my little Moomin things I bought when I lived in Finland at 16. I bought a hat. My kids are always asking why I wear it. 😂
Our Barnes and Nobles has the same Moomin Pop Up.
