The union state idea was only pushed for by Belarus because Russia was deeply unstable at the time Lukashenko doesn’t want to be demoted from president to being a governor under Putin.
In the near future
Probably only because it can be useful for Pu as well. He has a puppet state, that is not under such strong sanctions so he can do his dirty business through it.
Honestly, I don’t see the point to quote or reflect on anything either of those two say. A sound of flushing toilet probably has more truth or sense in it, than Poo & Loo all together!
