Israel and Lebanon are going to start some talks to discuss their land border dispute (there are around 10 points of contention, according to the US). Their maritime border dispute was already solved 3 years ago.
As a „goodwill gesture“ towards the new government, Israel also recently released a few Lebanese prisoners.
It’s an interesting development, and it’s difficult to imagine this would happen if Israel hadn’t deteriorated Hezbollah, which also found itself more isolated after the fall of the Assad regime.
