Lots of international law people ignoring this is entirely a domestic political maneuver-related outcome like the normative value of this if you wish, but there is nothing about law here.
It is hardly „justice“ when one oligarch throws his rival oligarch in prison. That is just a change of management.
The ICC remains a joke as it only really exists as a way for unstable and weak countries in Africa and Asia to throw their previous dictator to the courts so the new dictator can look good with the foriegn press and purge his opposition in a more acceptable way.
