Mark Carney has been elected as Canada’s new prime minister, succeeding Justin Trudeau as the leader of the Liberal Party. In his acceptance speech, Carney addressed the ongoing trade tensions with the US, criticizing President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods. He described the tariffs as an attack on Canadian families and the country’s economy. The US had recently imposed 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, prompting Canada to retaliate with its own tariffs on US goods. Carney stated that Canada will maintain its tariffs until the US shows respect, and emphasized the need for Canadians to stand together during this challenging time.

“Until Trump shows respect?” Has he been following the news or TV the last couple of decades?
Until Trump sees his shadow and chances his mind is probably a more likely timeframe. Or until they say Tarrifs are bad on fox and friends.
