The AFU either needs to sort itself out to immediately withdraw from Kursk or else counterattack and regain control over the road being blocked by Russia. They’re withdrawing from Malaya Loknya on the northern tip of the salient, but whether this portends a general abandonment of Kursk remains to be seen.

It may be too late. Reuters reporting they are surrounded and will need a breakout to withdraw. I have seen reports of 3-5000 and 10,000. Some of their best and bravest men.
It’s very convenient for Trump and Putin if Ukraine loses its biggest bargaining chip in any future negotiations.
