This is the kind of thing that bears repeating every time someone thinks going to Mars is „easy“ or tries to coiunter ‚but starship!“.
Microgravity research- and its applied mitigation- has been the cornerstone of ISS science investigation for over 20 years, and was a primary role of the Shuttle/Spacelab missions for decades before that. Because the scientists and astronauts involved in long-duration spaceflight understand how little we know yet on how to resolve the the chronic and long-term effects of microgravity.
Any BEO (Beyond Earth Orbit) deep space missions with a human crew are require considerably more testing of microgravity mitigation than we currently have available. Physiology studies, like those headed by NASA’s Human Research Program (HRP) at JSC in Houston have spent countless hours over the years identifying the negative effects of long0duration exposure to reduced gravity. The participating scientists and institutions that HRP relies on continue publish new finds annually- and these are the hurdles to interplanetary travel.
Spaceflight is more than rockets.
