When we first moved into a new house, a couple of nights in I was sitting on the sofa watching TV when something dropped to my feet from the ceiling. It was one of the motherfuckers. Screamed, died, revived myself, killed it and went to the kitchen to throw it away. Only to see another one crawl into the house through the crack in the window.
These guys are one of the reasons why religiousity is high in Cyprus compared to rest of Europe.

What if I told you centipedes are beneficial insects that kill other harmful ones like roaches and should better be relocated outside than killed?
I once found one under my bedsheets, probably bigger than that during summer. It was lurking around my feet. It was dark at night and i have no idea why i had the insinct to turn on the lights but man im so glad i did because i was about to sleep with that monster.
They are harmless. I find a lot of these and just move them outside
I was sleeping at night and felt something crawl over my chest. Was barely awake but somehow my hands managed to throw it away. Turned on the light to see one of them on the floor. And no- it wasn’t one of the slow millipedes. It was a very fast centipede just like the one in the picture. Instant adrenaline rush.  I know they kill other pests and are useful. But I still hope this was a once in a lifetime experience. Living next to Bananas was challenging pest wise.
