Sure it’s the right door?
I mean just put it in and turn it, may need force or pushing the door
Probably need to give the door a little kick as you turn the key
Tried push the door while turning the key?
Does your key have bunch of numbers/letters on the other side? If so, its probably „emännänavain“ that will open common spaces but not your own door
The latch can get stuck a bit, turn the key all the way and try to bump in to the door a bit with your shoulder
You probably have to give the door a little push/bump at the same time as you turn the key.
You put the key in, you turn the key and you pull while the key is turned. If that does not work, it’s probably a wrong key.
Push the key in, roll it to the right to the end and give the door a gentle push while the key is fully rolled.
Keep slight pressure on the roll while giving the door a gentle push.
Make sure you turn it clockwise
If it worked in the front door, it also should work in your house in the same way. If not, maybe the key is bad or it is the key of another house.

Maybe you slided it out and turned something inside so it doesnt slot in correctly without wiggling the lock Back to default state
if you ever wonder why you are hearing alot of door banging from the stairs, this is why. its never the locks fault, you are just not hitting it hard enough.

Assuming that you live in a block of flats with multiple entrances ( Like A B and C) that key will open the 3 doors, so be sure first that you are on the correct one ( happened to me before)

Oh gosh the first Airbnb in Helsinki that I stayed at, I accidently dead-locked the door and couldn’t unlock it. After trying for around 10 minutes… One panic attack later and a call to the owner I finally managed it.
After that I didn’t properly lock the door. I didn’t dare!
Should work the same as for the outer door. You can try giving it a wiggle in the opposite direction while pushing in to get it to fully seat, sometimes it can be lightly stuck. Or lightly pushing the door with hip/ shoulder when turning they key to decrease friction on the latch. But first I’d probably check that it’s the right door.
Problem can be that youre using „emämmän avain“ (maid’s key) works on outer doors, store room entrances and the laundry room, but wont work on doors. Especially if you have just moved.
1 are you sure you are at the correct door?
2 does it have a handle?
3 turn the key and push the door at the same time (or if it has a handle, pull it down at the same time as turning key and pushing)
4 don’t touch the door, turn the key 90° or 180°, it only goes so much so it’s obvious how much, then push and pull (or if it has a handle, turn key, then pull the handle/lever down and pull outward)
Are you still standing there?
Does the key fit in to the lock? Does it turn? Can you feel or hear the latch moving ? Does the door have another lock above this one ?
Can you ask help from your neighbor?

I just got stuck on the inside lol
Sometimes you might need to oil them a bit to get them to open, otherwise might need a bit of force to get it open
Just a reminder: always bring the key with you as most finnish doors lock automatically when you leave
