Sadly not very convincing or artisticly original looking. I know making movies requires good budget and they need to think marketing side of things too but I would just like to see something a bit more ambitious, especially when using Kalevala as your source.
This just looks like Vikings the Movie.

There’s some beautiful spots of scenery, but the costuming makes me very wary. The overwhelmingly dark and leathery look seems like it’s more concerned with matching the standard action genre look, rather than doing something distinct and imaginative. Similarly, we don’t see any magical elements, which admittedly could be due to unfinished FX.
If I were cynical, I’d say there’s a similar tendency as with the early 2000s superhero movies, which were embarrassed to properly embrace the look and content of their source material.

What everyone else has said – plus, that music is cliche-ing itself all the way up it’s own arse. I know it is trailer music, but still – do better. So RICH source material and this is the best they can do?

Edit (in English):
They could have at least put some effort into the English subtitles—now it was just automatically generated gibberish. The language of the Kalevala is beautiful, and hopefully, that is reflected in the final result. Visually, it looked like something straight out of the Vikings series.

The clothing / armors doesnt really look good to me. I think it would look much better with color similar to Akseli Gallen-Kallelas paintings even if thats a bit of a vague critique.

Goofy clothing, goofy swords. Apart from that, pretty generic. We’ll see.
