It’s not going to fall apart in the foreseeable future—that’s for sure. It has turned out to be a highly valuable “partnership” of apparent coequals, two egos that are only calmed by one another and no one else.
Who controls the news cycle these days? Certainly not the mainstream media. It’s amazing that there’s so much going on, and it’s all unchecked. Obviously, the fact that there are 220 million Twitter followers to broadcast to all day helps. Control of X is a great contributor to their politics. They can create so much noise that everything becomes innocuous. Nothing is unhinged anymore. It will survive for that rational reason alone.
