Ich bin auf dem Weg, einen Freund vom Flughafen Genf abzuholen und habe mich in diesem massiven Stau stecken, der wahrscheinlich aufgrund eines Unfalls verursacht wird. Ich habe mein ganzes Leben lang noch nie so etwas gesehen. Der Verkehr ist absolut zum Stillstand gekommen und bewegt sich nicht einmal einen Zentimeter für mehr als 45 Minuten. Was sind einige der besten Quellen für Echtzeit -Updates, wenn sie auf solche Unfälle stoßen? Dürfen die Leute auch aus ihren Autos kommen? Es war absolut erstaunlich zu sehen, wie die meisten Menschen mehr als 45 Minuten in ihren Fahrzeugen blieben und überhaupt nicht herauskamen!

According to the TCS website, there’s a car on fire, and the tunnel is closed in both directions.

Depends. Had this experience twice in the last year.
One time it was a Vollsperrung from the Autobahn and we got stuck at the Einfahrt directly behind a police car. I asked him if it’s ok to get out of the car until the Vollsperrung is over and he allowed it if I stay near the car.
The second time it was because a car was burning inside a tunnel, there I stayed inside the car for approx an hour because we had no clue about how long it will stay this way. And when the traffic started rolling again, it did go pretty fast. If I weren’t in the car, I would’ve created some delay.
Also, according to law it’s forbidden to walk onto the Autobahn. So stay in the car and don’t walk onto the Rettungsgasse. And keep an eye open to the stuff that happens around you.
I mean, car crash blocking the highway are something that happens yeah.
