The IDF has officially retreated from Lebanon, but set up 5 outposts in key positions as seen in [this map](https://static-cdn.toi-media.com/www/uploads/2025/02/idfposts-map-640×400.jpg) in the article.

As far as I can tell the positions are in elevated high ground, and will help make sure the IDF can respond to threats on northern Israel instantly.

The real test of Lebanon begins now. Can they take their country back from Iranian interests who used them for their war against Israel?

If Hezbollah will not be forced to disarm, if they will start to once again reorganize on border villages, then I believe Israel should and would choose an active war. No more waiting around while they prepare to indiscriminately bomb Israeli towns, but instead take active measures in advance.
