If anyone was still under the impression that there would be real negotiations, this statement should make clear what is going to happen.
The reaction in the US Military about Trump taking over the russian narrative will be interesting. The ukrainians will be shocked.

The exact quote from the video:
„But today I heard ‚oh well, we weren’t invited‘. Well, you’ve been there for three years. You should’ve ended it – three years. You should’ve never started it, you could’ve made a deal.“ – Trump

It seems plausible at this point that there is more going on behind the scenes.
Putin takes Ukraine.
He takes Greenland.
Quid pro quo.

Trump also claims he won the election in 2020, his net worth fluctuates depending on his mood, and there are ‚very fine people‘ in a group of Nazis, so maybe don’t reprint his words without making it clear they’re false. Which, by the way, CNN did, the title is ‚Trump falsely claims‘ not sure why the Reddit post doesn’t say it.

I do feel sorry for mango mussolini’s brain having to live it’s entire life in solitary confinement。 But it does not surprise me that Captain bone Spurs hates zelensky, a brave man and a popular president who did not run away and is not bought and paid by Russia.
Some humans hate what they can never be. Zelensky has morals, a wife who loves him not for his money and he has the Love of the free world and is so brave him and trump are like oil and water

Yeah, now Ukraine invaded Russia. Love this GOP gaslighting.

I thought nothing could surprise me anymore but this clown manages to do that every day over the last month.
He can’t be *that* stupid.

I am 100% convinced that Trump told Putin to invade Ukraine to punish Biden for „stealing“ his election and to punish Zelensky for not going along with his blackmailing attempt and ultimately causing him to get impeached.
If you look at Trump’s statement about this war through this lens, they all suddenly make sooo much more sense.
„This would have never happened if I was president“
(I would have never told Putin to invade)
„Zelensky started this war“
(by not doing the insane shit that I wanted him to do)
„Putin was smart to invade“
(Because I told him he should)
„This wouldn’t have dragged on for so many years“
(Because I never intended it to, we thought Zelensky would fold and we could all make Biden look bad)
The timing of the buildup also aligns perfectly: Russian forces started building up on the border around March 2021. Exactly enough time for Trump to recover from his Jan 6 theatrics and formulate a new revenge plan, and then the few months Putin would need to come to a decision and start his buildup
This also casts a very suspicious light around all the otherwise seemingly random conflicts that all popped up around that time, like Hammas suddenly attacking Israel, Houthis shooting at American ships (but not Chinese) and a bunch of others that all seemed to come out of nowhere that spring and summer.

these are negotiation tactics. Its his way of negotiating. rough way to go about it but works.

This is so terribly sad. Victim blaming at its finest. It’ll be interesting to see Europe’s response; surely America won’t attack its allies, will it?
