Not surprising, the Portuguese despite their base being Iberian, for their history, there have tons of people coming and go in the peninsula.
In the Azores and Madeira had a even bigger mix, with the colonisation of the islands, other groups came to „help“ the portuguese majority.
That’s why the ukulele exists. It’s our famous cavaquinho 🫣
