Submission Statement: It appears Donald Trump is intent on destroying yet another bilateral relationship. As Netanyahu and Trump openly push for expulsion and treat Egypt (and Jordan too) with complete contempt, it should be no surprise that Sisi is prepared to walk away. Cairo may also feel confident that they will secure alternative sources of aid. Expulsion truly is a red line. If Trump and Netanyahu keep acting like this, the article claims that nothing is off the table, even the Camp David Accords.
Feels like Egypt is in a bind, the military regime need at least some popular support, but also needs an external patron. Russia is not the USSR, and with Ukraine and Syria its hard to see Egypt turning there. China I suppose could, but it would a big risk in angering the US and getting fully sucked into Middle Eastern politics
