    1. I meannnn lets be honest…at least 50% of massage parlours in Malta are ‚glorified‘ brothels and nothing will change unfortunately

Think yourself lucky. They used to just lean out of the windows and call to you when walking certain streets in that area, at least it’s all cleaned up and private enough now. We used to call triq mitrovich „condom alley“ it was so strewn with them.
Like it or lump it IMO.

And what is the nuisance exactly for you to report? Are they moaning so loud you can’t sleep at night?

You can keep reporting to Police or even the VAT department to check if they are issuing recipts, etc.. which will get them on a lookout somehow.

But what exactly do you think will happen? Maybe they close down? and then what? … a Liquor Store will open, and you will have drunk lowlifes on your step? or a small convience shop would open, and you will have a truck unloading in early morning and Wolt Drivers waiting outside?

If they are not shoving their penis in your letterbox .. I would personally let it go

Times of Malta did some investigative reporting a few years back on how many foreign women are trafficked in these so-called „Massage“ parlours. They typically have their passport witheld from them and have to deal with STIs that go untreated. Often, because many clients refuse to wear condoms, and their „employer“ certainly isn’t sending them to any government sexual health clinics. I also recall some people in this sort of business getting charged when the nature of their business is investigated by authorities.

But it’s become a bit of a silent epidemic, regardless, in these past few years. Some places make it painfully obvious that they are brothels, like the ones in Bugibba with the super flashy, „OPEN“ sign in red lights in broad daylight.

And so many married men go get their „happy endings“ at these establishments, naturally without the better half knowing. Heard stories. And heard a married Gozitan man boast to me about how he gets the ferry to Malta every so often to treat himself to a masseuse that will give him a relaxing happy ending 🤢🤢🤢
