  1. I must be missing something obviously, but why were these rebuilt?

    We’re they actually demolished while belonging to someone? I thought these were completely abandoned buildings so I’d thought the space (given that it didn’t actually belong to someone) could be used for something else (green space, mini parks etc)

    It’s think they were owned by them church. And they the archbishop heard that they would be classed as preserved buildings.. So he demolished them..

    It’s abt the other green 💲 he was interested

    The classic „leave one wall and rebuild everything else and it’s still considered listed“ trick from the people who probably invented it

  5. That church is ugly too. It doesn’t fit into the old town- then again neither do many buildings eg. Modern art gallery, new town hall, shakolas tower. It’s truly disappointing how little architectural regulation there is in Cyprus.
