Hallo Leute, das ist der Brief, den ich heute vom Gerichtsbeamten im Namen des Bayerischen Rundfunks bekommen habe. Da steht, dass ich die Gebühren seit 2023 nicht mehr bezahlt habe, obwohl es meine Vermieterin ist, die regelmäßig für die GEZ zahlt. Ich habe ihnen zahlreiche E-Mails geschrieben und ihnen mitgeteilt, dass meine Vermieterin immer die gesamte WG bezahlt und dass meine Beitragsnummer mit ihrer Beitragsnummer „verknüpft“ werden sollte, aber niemand scheint zu antworten. Außerdem rief ich sie unter ihrer Nummer an, woraufhin sie mir mitteilten, dass sie meine E-Mails erhalten hätten, diese aber noch niemand bearbeitet habe. Ich habe auch die Gerichtsbeamtin darüber informiert, aber sie sagt, dass der Fall weitergehen wird, es sei denn, das Unternehmen selbst klärt die Situation mit ihr. Was soll ich jetzt tun? Mein Mitbewohner hat das gleiche Problem wie ich.

Can you prove that you have informed the contribution centre who is paying your contribution?
Does your landlady live in the same flat?
If you really fulfill the requirements to not pay (your landlady is living with you in the apartment), you do the following:
Write a letter now and send it via Einschreiben Einwurf describing the situation in German. So you have moved in on such and such date and are living with your landlady [name] and her number is [number]. You contacted them on dates XYZ to inform them and never heard back. Ask for a written confirmation that you are registered under her number in 2 weeks (Feb 3rd for example).
Explain you will pay the fee in the meantime but expect full reimbursement. Ask for confirmation of that in writing as well and give them the account you want the money to go to.
Pay the fee for now to avoid legal trouble.
If you don’t live with your landlady: pay.
