I think passing through 1st class to get to the 2nd class might be allowed? Hanging around anywhere in the 1st class carriage is definitely not allowed.
I think it is normal you can’t stand there. If everybody stands there and gets crowded it won’t be first class anymore.
I think it is not normal to fine you for just crossing the carriage or using that door.
If they start doing that shit during rush hour in Zurich they would have to add 2 more carriages to some trains to accommodate all passengers. There is no way everyone would fit into the 17:20 S12 at Stadelhofen if people are not allowed to stand in the entrances of 1st class.
Of course it’s not allowed. The ticket is for the wagon, not the seat. You can pass through a first class wagon with a 2nd class ticket, but you can’t stay there.
Simple, accommodate passenger numbers on trains by lowering the number of 1st class wagons and increasing 2nd class wagons. It’s a bit of a joke…
I always heared you could be fined for this… so I guess it makes sense
The same people telling us how great the Swiss trains are, complain now how full the trains are so they have to trespass to first class in order to make it?
