    1. As an American, I would love the option to have a European ISP, just an idea.

2030 is 5 years from now. 4 years and 9 months ago starlink already had 300 starlink satellites in orbit. Once again Europe joins the space race with a product that is already outdated at the time of announcement.

This is exactly what we need. Lots and lots of competition in the low earth orbit internet provider space. I want so many LEO satellites orbiting me that when I look up at night, the sky is divided like lines on a basketball.

So, over the next 6 years they plan to launch about as many satellites for their Starlink competitor as SpaceX launched for Starlink in the last month.

Love a 42-minute-old post where half the commenters showed up within 10 minutes of each other to talk about how inferior this is to Starlink.

Is this good old astroturfing or are some people really that deep in the Musk cult of personality that they feel compelled to act like this?

Edit: to be clear, not trying to be dismissive of constructive criticism of this project. It’s just so damn transparent when SXMasterrace decides to brigade.

Hmm, that’s not that many satellites, but I guess you don’t need as much for just Europe
