      Our sun may be due for an extremely powerful „superflare“ outburst in the next few decades, according to researchers.

      Stars like our sun can experience one of these superflares once every century or so, according to a new paper in the journal Science. „The new data are a stark reminder that even the most extreme solar events are part of the Sun’s natural repertoire,“ said study co-author Natalie Krivova, a solar physicist at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS), a statement.

    2. Religions warn about a big one too. Sun will turn dark with a huge sun spot or whatever. If you think about it the prevalent sickle shape in old cultures is probably prophecy about the sun. As in the sun will look like a sickle. What would happen with a huge sun spot like that

    3. Well, we’re always due for some cataclysmic event. Be it a super volcano eruption , asteroid/comet impact, nuclear war, supernova explosion, super viruses… etc.. it just never ends when all you need is a clickbait title.
