It’s weird how I think it looks so much further away when I see Earth in the sky rather than the Moon. Really brings home the kind of distances involved.

hey look- im in the picture! we are all in the picture!
I mean the argument, that the earth should be a lot bigger on this photo is not something to ignore.

Astronaut Eugene Cernan is also visible in the reflection in Schmitt’s helmet visor in the awkward position he assumed to obtain this image.
