I’m surprised Armenian architects don’t borrow more features from Vank cathedral, especially when it comes to frescoes and mosaics, especially seeing how Vank cathedral is basically the Sistine Chapel of the Middle East. I remember seeing photos of Saint John the Baptist Church in Abovyan and it was disappointing to see the frescos done in a Russian style. They ought to redo those frescos and do them closer to the style of Vank Cathedral.
