Hallo, r/deutschland! Wir wollen Berlin von Heilbronn aus mit dem Zug besuchen, aber das deutsche Zugsystem verwirrt uns 🙂
Wir haben Flixtrain-Tickets mit einem Umstieg und 27 Minuten zwischen den ZĂĽgen gefunden. Es gibt also zwei Fragen.

Müssen wir den SWEG-Zug von Heilbronn nach Stuttgart auf dem Bild zusätzlich bezahlen, wenn wir dieses Ticket gekauft haben?

Wenn dieser Sweg-Zug oder Flixtrain Verspätung hat und wir den nächsten Zug verpassen, können wir dann jeden Zug benutzen oder nur Flixtrain?

Wenn wir nicht für die Sitzplätze bezahlen, können wir auf jedem freien Sitzplatz Platz nehmen oder erhält das System einfach eine zufällige Sitzplatznummer für uns?

1- If you book via the flixtrain app and it does not say otherwise, the ticket for the regional train should be included.
2- Only Flixtrains, no DB-trains.
3- You can take any free seat in that case. I recommend a seat reservation.
1. I believe when you buy the ticket, you pay for the entire trip regardless if the trip is jointly operated by different companies. You can see the note at the bottom there.

3. Yes, normally you can seat anywhere on the train even if you dont book any seat, however if someone with a seat booking shows up, then you have to give the seat to them.
