Beyond Organic: Könnten KI-Maschinen der evolutionäre Nachfolger der Menschheit sein?

Hey, this is my first time writing and with this article, I explore the idea that AI-powered machines could become humanity’s evolutionary successor, challenging what it means to be human. I’m constantly thinking about how AI might shape our future, whether this future is inevitable, and if it’s something we should embrace.

You have talked about „benefits of machine vs organic“, but you haven’t waited to research „benefits of organics vs machine“.

And there are quite a few!

For starters, energetic efficiency of organics is astonishing. Microorganisms actually do evolve at a rate that rivals that of technological evolution, and they have used roughly 2.5 billion years just perfecting their thermodynamic effiency and their chemical efficiency. Examples

– A human brain operates on more or less the same wats as any lightbulb in your home. People like Einstein or newton consumed more or less the same watts than a tablet.

– Living organisms are extremely good at energy storage. And they make it portable. If you had enough water, you could survive MONTHS on just the fat you’ve got on your body, all while doing your „sentient AGI work“ during that time.

– Enzimes are substances that basically speed up reactions in ways beyond what normal chemistry predicts. The ways they do this are still unknown, but many rely on quantum and probabilistic phenomena that digital computers would take a long time to process.

– Cells leverange quantum level phenomenons for their functioning, and every cell is arguably a computer in itself, given all the internal management it has to do based on the information of its code (genes) ram (citosol) and organules. Furthermore, eukaryotes use this internal computing totranscend into more complex beings.

Of course this doesn’t mean humans will always be superiors to machines (that’s stupid), but it means that, based on the knowledge we have today, ORGANIC MINDS, when genetically tampered, and together with machine components, will be unbeatable.

Which reminds me a comic stripe I read a few years ago: Humans keep updating their tech but they keep being so short-sighted and egocentric… perhaps humans are due for an update too.

Which is my point, augmented humans, if organized properly and improved properly, will perfectly coexist with AGIs
