This is still only just speaking shit, not actually done, i wonder which would happen first if this was actually done and made reality, general strike or political murder
The pension funds are empty, pension cost must go down or the ponzi scheme will collapse.
Other alternative is lowering existing pensions or increasing taxes on pensions. These alternatives would face even greater opposition from boomers that are avid voters.
Leaving only one alternative, continuing to steal from the children. (Or anyone born after 1965)
It’s interesting idea and is being challenged all across developed nations. We are going to be living longer with better medicine but this doesn’t equate to quality of life. Some work for example labour or trade jobs your body just can’t function after years of lifting, kneeling, and exposure to chemicals in materials. Your career in a trade might only last from 20-21 to around 40-45 years of age, you are very lucky to make it to 68-69 years old.
