Jetzt habe ich ein DeutschlandSemesterTicket, aber ich verstehe nicht, was das für ein RE/IC ist. Kann ich in diesem Zug auf dem RE-Teil Platz nehmen oder ist das nicht erlaubt, weil es ein IC mit RE ist?

as far as i know you should be able to take this train with a D-Ticket. it’s somehow both an RE and IC
Yes, you can. It’s the other way around.
You are allowed because it’s RE with IC.
And edit: There are no „parts“. Sit in 2nd class and you’re fine.
