Are you serious? Have you followed the story on the local news or just read this half baked thing on wwc? If this is a joke, kindly avoid it next time.

The guy harassed a woman after breaking up, stabbed her to death and threatened hotel staff and the police with a firearm (which was later found to be fake, however at the time he used it as a real one). Not sure what else one could have done except wait for more casualties?
